Vista del Mar

This home is perfect for one or two couples. It is set back on its own large lot, affording privacy and an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. The pool, palapa, and ocean terrace are for the exclusive use of guests.

Your vacation casa opens to spectacular ocean views, allowing scented sea breezes to soothe you day and night. Sunbathe on your own beachfront deck, or cool off under a pleasant open-air shower. Experience a glorious night sky, then let the rhythms of the Pacific Ocean surf gently lull you to sleep.

This rental is $230/night for up to 4 people, plus $20 per day per additional person, up to six people total; plus $125 cleaning fee. Payments via PayPal, or Zelle. Vista del Mar is not suitable for young children under 12 due to the unfenced pool and many thorny desert plants. We do, however, have a mobile crib for infants. As solar powered beach houses, we do not offer hair dryers or air conditioning.

A 1,290 sq. ft. vacation casa with two bedrooms, one bath, and fully equipped kitchen, the Vista del Mar features an outdoor barbecue, patios and secure parking. Catch the sunrise over the Sierra de Laguna Mountains from the second-floor deck. Included are beach necessities, free Internet, satellite TV, Weber BBQ, and a gas fire pit on the terrace overlooking the ocean. We are solar powered and do not have artificial air conditioning, relying instead on our cool ocean breezes for comfort.

Property Layout

The property is walled on three sides, open to the Pacific Ocean on the 4th side. There are two homes within the 2-lot compound, offset for maximum privacy, with landscaping, pool, and palapa between the two lots. Workshop and garage are not included with the rentals. Normally, only one house is rented at a time to afford maximum privacy. If you have a larger group, both homes are available, but only if rented together. That way, your party has full access to both oceanfront lots during your stay. When only one home is booked, the owner and her two dogs, "Cassie," a super friendly Baja rescue, and "Oliver," a loveable young lab, occupy the second home. The pups have access to the entire property, so keep that in mind before you book if you do not care for dogs.

Payment Policy

Payment may be made by PayPal or Zelle.

Deposit to hold reservation for Vista del Mar is first night’s rental, and $500 USD for Villa del Mar. Balance due 30 days before arrival for either house. All reservations must be paid in advance.

Refunds and cancellations: Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation is made 45 days or less before arrival date. Refund requests must be made in writing.

Reschedules: You may reschedule without penalty 45 days or more prior to arrival date for travel within one year of original reservation.

Miscellaneous

No indoor smoking in either Villa del Mar or Vista del Mar.

As a solar powered beach houses, we do not offer hair dryers, and no air conditioners are needed because of our proximity to the ocean.

No children under 12.

Travel documents: A valid passport is required to enter Mexico. All U.S. and Canadian citizens must also carry a Mexican Tourist Card, which is supplied by air carriers. Non U.S. citizens should contact the Mexican consulate for specific entry and visa requirements.
